George Arvanitis is Managing Director-Midwest at Mumford Company. In this role, Arvanitis, a 33-year veteran in the financial services sector is focused on bringing his expertise in real estate brokerage, development, leasing and finance to the Midwestern United States. He is based in the firm’s Chicago office.
Arvanitis joined Mumford in 2015 and has successfully closed over $115 million consisting of both full service and limited service hotels in multiple states. Prior to joining Mumford, Arvanitis spent several years in recreational land development in SW Wisconsin, Iowa, and Minnesota with one of Wisconsin’s largest recreational land developer, founded his own boutique commercial real estate firm outside of Chicago and worked with Marcus and Millichap in their National Hospitality Group based in Oakbrook, IL.
Arvanitis was previously licensed as a professional equities trader and market maker for 13 years, founded and was principal in two separate securities broker dealers and has held multiple securities and real estate licenses in aggregate for 33 years without incident while earning high customer satisfaction.
